Youth Advisory Committee
Youth gain the opportunity to take ownership of their club through involvement in the planning and business development of club social activities and events.Committee members have the opportunity to learn, develop and implement basic business and secretarial skills as well as help plan fundraisers, club events and community outreach projects.
Vision and Purpose Statement
The purpose of iCAN Junior Triathlon Club Youth Advisory Committee is to organize ideas and strategies to develop and maintain the future growth of iCAN Junior Triathlon Club. Our goal is to increase and maintain youth membership, make our club better, attract more young people to our club and make our club very youth friendly and fun.

I will do my best to advance the vision, mission and purpose of iCAN Junior Triathlon Club and the YAC.
I will do my best to attend all meetings and participate in all group discussions.

I will support all decisions made by iCAN Junior Triathlon Club Staff and the YAC.

Getting to know the Youth Advisory Committee
Tenley Griffin - Chairman, is as Sophmore at Clovis West High School. She has been an active iCAN Club member since 2009. She enjoys participating in the sport of Triathlon. She is a Cheerleader for Clovis West, is very active in her church and with Cotillian and ballroom dance classes.
Haley Linzmeyer - Co-Chairman, is a Sophmore at Clovis North High School. She has been active with the Club since the Spring of 2011. Besides her active schedule with iCAN, she volunteers at the animal shelter and enjoys spending time with her friends.
Ellie Altice - Secretary, is home-schooled and has participated with the Club since the Spring of 2011. She is very active in her church and traveled to Africa this past summer on a missions trip.
James Winch - Treasurer, is a Junior at Clovis West High School and attends CART, the Center of Advanced Research and Technology as part of his school curriculum. He has been active with iCAN since the Spring of 2011 and has many creative ideas to help the Club.
Maegan Vitale is a 7th Grader at Granite Ridge Intermediate School. She has been active in the Club since the Summer of 2009 and served on the YAC last year as Secretary. She is currently participating with her school swim team, is very creative and enjoys making crafts in her free time. She is also participates with her church youth group.
Xavier Gutierrez is a 5th Grader at Mickey Cox Elementary School. He has been active with the Club since the Spring of 2010. He is currently participating in Cross Country, is actively involved in his church youth group and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Ashley Vitale is a 5th Grader at Copper Hills Elementary School. She joined the Club in the Summer of 2009 and loves the sport of Triathlon. She has participated in Cross Country and Track, is a member of the Copper Hills Pep Squad, and actively participates in her church youth group.
Macy House is a 6th Grader at Fresno Christian School. She has been active with the Club since the Spring of 2010 . She has participated in Cross Country and Track at her school, and really enjoys the sport of Triathlon. Her favorite school subjects are P.E. and Language, and she is enjoys doing Art in her free time, especially drawing and sketching.
Nominations for the 2012-2013 Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) will be held in the Summer of 2012.
